About racing
My first regional race (5km)
When I participated in my first competition, it was only a month since I had started training. It was 5 km heavy and difficult, but the adrenaline of the competition made me stay focused at the time of the race. The experience was completely amazing (and tiring 🥴) for a novice and sedentary runner 🫣.

My first 10km regional race
Physical preparation
Ok, I confess that this was one of my worst competitions! My physical ability was still totally inadequate for such a long competition. I ended up getting excited when i registered thinking I could handle running 10km with all the ease of the world 😬.
Support
In this race, the only support I had was my mother’s! My trainer and our race group ended up not participating and it really demotivated me. Seeing the other groups running along and getting emotional support made me feel like a fish 🐠 out of the water at that moment. It was the first and last race i let myself get shaken up because of support!
At the time of the race
Up to 4 km I managed to do without worry, alternating between the explosion and trots; after the 6km I’ve started to have severe leg pain and twinge in the belly, where I ended up alternating for a walk thinking i’d pass soon; When I got to the 8km, I couldn’t stop crying! I literally went one of the last to go through the return of the competition. To make the whole situation worse, I started bleeding internally from stress at the end of the race and it made me cry even more. But in the end, after a lot of crying, anger and hormones jumping into despair, I ended up coming first in the category by age group 🥇.

My first incomplete regional race (10km)
We won’t even argue about physical preparation that’s out of the question again! This competition was a week after my first 10km competition; It started all right until suddenly the twinges in the belly appeared (this time worse than ever), seemed endless stab wounds 😰. I completed only 5km of the race and ended up being disqualified in qualifying to receive trophy 🏆. Soon after, I went to the hospital for tests and what I thought was a serious problem (like a ruptured appendix), turned out to be just mild grade anemia.
Of course I was upset that I couldn’t complete the race, but at the end of it, I ended up getting a medal. 🏅
